È stato annunciato oggi, che Spike Lee sta per uscire con un documentario su Michael Jackson concentrandosi sull'album simbolo BAD e il suo tour mondiale, in concomitanza con i 25 anni del disco. Per la prima volta, vedremo delle scene dietro le quinte che raccontano man mano le tracce dell'album di Michael Jackson; con più di 40 interviste condotte personalmente da Spike Lee fatte a personaggi molto vicini a Michael, coreografi, musicisti e altri collaboratori che insieme sveleranno la vera storia di BAD, attraverso i loro vividi ricordi e di com'era lavorare giorno dopo giorno con il Ree del POP.
Spike Lee commenta: "Sono più che un grande fan di Michael Jackson, e avere la possibilità di conoscere le storie di chi ha lavorato con lui, è una enorme eredità e fortuna. Con questo progetto BAD ho potuto scoprire ciò che ha reso l'album uno dei più grandi di sempre."
Il documentario di Spike Lee supporterà il 25° anniversario di BAD, che sarà anche celebrato il 18 Settembre 2012, con un must-have deluxe box in uscita, disponibile con la versione da tre CD, due libretti da collezione, e la prima versione in assoluto rimasterizzata in DVD di un concerto del Bad Tour, al Wembley Stadium del 16 luglio 1988, in cui erano presenti anche la principessa Diana e il principe Carlo.
