Nike Tech Pack's final series of Milan events

A more personal engagement with Capo Plaza, Federico Bernardeschi, and One Block Down

Nike Tech Pack's final series of Milan events A more personal engagement with Capo Plaza, Federico Bernardeschi, and One Block Down

Last week saw the final round of Nike Tech Pack events take place in Milan, the week-long series was a summation of the past events where the protagonists and talents came together for a last time to talk a bit with fans and offer a chance to customize pieces together. Starting last weekend and continuing on the first days of the week, the NikeLab store in Milan was turned into a Tech Lab installation, where the Tech Pack items were shown off in-store and on a specially built conveyor belt that when scanned revealed the deeper details that lay behind each piece.

Downstairs, in a space few people ever get to see, which houses the vaults of the Nikelab store, quite literally in that the space was once formally used by a financial institution which housed its vaults in the basement levels, and though not in use today, they made a perfect space and setting to showcase the unique pieces which Capo Plaza, Federico Bernardeschi, and One Block Down had designed during the Tech Pack workshops, together with their paired talents, photographer Virginia Arcaro, stylist Valeria Semushina, and London based designer Mini Swoosh. Next door to the vaults a customization station was set up which allowed some select attendees to design and customize their own unique pieces from the Tech Pack collection with Milanese emblems created for the occasion, the Biscione, the Duomo and the Madonnina, together with samples of the Tech Pack code and various swooshes.

The week continued with each of the protagonists coming back for a dedicated day each. Starting the Bernardeschi on Tuesday the 11th, who started with a sit-down session where questions from fans were read up by Valeria Semushina, about football, his relationship with Nike, and his philosophy towards success. The fans were then invited downstairs to make their own pieces with the footballer and even had the opportunity to get them autographed and photographed together with the star.

After a day of rest, it was the turn of Capo Plaza on Thursday the 13th. Starting with a customization session with fans at NikeLab, they were then all picked up in a bus and taken for a sneak preview of the brand new Nike flagship store that has opened up in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II this weekend. The fans were given the chance to take pictures with Capo Plaza in front of his new onsite billboard, before returning to the NikeLab for another round of workshops.

On Friday the 14th, Mini Swoosh took over proceedings at Nikelab offering a round of customisation together with the guys from One Block Down, which continued over to a closing event on Saturday where Mini Swoosh came to the One Block Down store for a more relaxed evening of, socializing, customizations, and drinks to bring the whole Tech Pack project to a close in Milan for this round.
