Foot Locker and Nike celebrate the Portuguese capital with the Air Max TN Lisboa A tribute to Lisbon amid azulejos and urban culture

After the success of the projects dedicated to Saint-Denis, Brixton, Berlin, Marseille, and Naples, the all-European journey of the Nike Air Max TN finally arrives in Lisbon with a chapter that smells of sun, calçada, and azulejos: the Nike Air Max TN Lisboa. A tribute to a city that lives between the past of its streets and the future of its creative scene, where every sneaker tells a story of belonging. The TN has been part of Lisbon’s urban DNA for years: in a place where cultures mix and the rhythm changes from neighborhood to neighborhood, the Nike-designed silhouette has become a cross-cultural symbol, worn by kids from the barrio, artists, athletes, and anyone who wants to express their individuality. The TNs have become a uniform, a common language that unites generations and different styles, this time dressed in the colors of Lisbon to honor it.

The upper of the Air Max TN Lisboa features patterns inspired by the azulejos, the typical blue and white tiles that decorate the city’s walls, while the sole plays with the geometric design of the calçada portuguesa, the iconic pavement of Lisbon’s streets. On the tongue stands a Swoosh decorated like a historical emblem, and the name “Lisbon” engraved between the laces looks almost like a love tattoo for the city. All without betraying the original shape that has made the TN an icon for 26 years. Giving voice to the new model is the campaign Lisboa é nossa (Lisbon is ours), an anthem to the city and its energy. In recent years, the city has changed rapidly, between new communities and nostalgic roots that endure. Nike and Foot Locker celebrate precisely this spirit, that of a new generation reclaiming its spaces and transforming the city into a collective canvas where the past and present coexist.

To embody the soul of the city, Foot Locker has brought together some of the most representative faces of the local scene: Julinho KSD, one of Portugal’s most beloved rappers; Geovany Quenda, a young promise of Portuguese football; Confeere, a visual artist who transforms TNs into sculptures; Yuri NR5, an independent voice of the new rap wave; and YNA, DJ, stylist, model, and part of the Dengo collective. These are very different personalities, but all united by an unbreakable bond with the city of Lisbon. To celebrate the launch of the Nike Air Max TN Lisboa, on October 9 and 10 Foot Locker and Nike are opening a public pop-up at the Castro Café, the historic pastel de nata atelier on Rua Áurea. In addition to discovering the sneaker up close and enjoying the typical Portuguese dessert, the two brands have planned plenty of surprises for guests, including live performances and giveaways.
