L.A.LINEA debuts with made-to-order footwear The new brand founded by Lorenzo Almasio starts from the system before the product itself

Lorenzo Almasio launches L.A.LINEA, a Paris-based brand with production entrusted to a network of specialist craftsmen in the Marche footwear district. Its first outing was SS27 Objects, conceived as a tribute to everyday objects designed to be lived in and to evolve alongside those who wear them. The project stems from a declared disillusionment with the contemporary avant-garde.

A system that once knew how to challenge itself through acts of rupture now appears paralysed by the market and its own inertia. For Almasio, seeking novelty in form no longer makes sense; innovation must instead shift from the product to the system that generates and distributes it.

This vision takes shape in the FORZA Footwear line, the heart of the brand. Comprising three styles — the Forza Back Zip Boots, Forza Side Zip Boots and Mac Clog — it is built on direct dialogue with the customer: each piece is made only when needed, using naturally sourced materials chosen according to a single criterion of responsibility — the ability to stand up to everyday wear.

Available exclusively as made-to-order and handcrafted in Italy in calfskin with a leather sole, they employ Blake construction, which joins the upper, insole and sole in a single stitching pass. A technique that ensures strength, repairability and longevity — and from which the line quite literally takes its name.

Uniqueness remains the value around which everything revolves. With the Custom Products service, customers can start from the collection's silhouettes and transform them through direct dialogue with the brand, choosing materials, finishes and details to arrive at personal reinterpretations of each style. Footwear is currently the only category available to the public. The scope is set to expand, however: the first ready-to-wear offerings are planned for the near future, a natural extension of a vision that chose to start over from the system before even considering the product.
