JW Anderson's New Campaign for the Twisted Denim Line Starring real-life couple Dree Hemingway and Nick Delli Santi
JW Anderson has unveiled the campaign for its Twisted Denim line, a photography project that for the first time features Dree Hemingway, model and actress, alongside her partner Nick Delli Santi. The idea behind the campaign is to capture a real couple in their everyday gestures and intimacy, in shots that feel stolen from private life rather than staged on a set. Denim thus becomes the thread connecting two people who, together, convey a sense of style that is natural and unperformative.
At the heart of the offering is the Twisted Denim, a piece that encapsulates Jonathan Anderson's approach to design. The silhouette remains comfortable and easy to wear, yet a structural detail makes it instantly recognisable: the front of the jeans is twisted, and the seams carry that torsion all the way down the leg. Starting from an iconic, democratic garment, Anderson alters its geometry, turning the twist into both a demonstration of craft and a fashion statement that seeks to unite functionality and subversion.
All pieces in the line are produced and made in Japan. Each piece bears the "Made in Japan" label, a large leather patch with an embossed JW Anderson logo, metal shank buttons, and the signature orange stitching. These details not only certify the origin but tell the story of a supply chain in which handcraft remains central. The collection's unisex denim sits at the intersection of Japanese technical tradition and the designer's curatorial vision, capable of reinterpreting a classic through a personal and rigorous lens.
