Blondie and Cortado Coffee Shops Open Two New Locations in Paris Rosalia and Jacob Elordi’s favorite coffee shops continue their takeover of the French capital

Blondie: The New York-style coffee shop made in France

Blondie first landed in the French capital back in 2023. The duo behind it, Tom Abbar and Tanguy Kayser, crossed the Atlantic -after cutting their teeth in the New York specialty coffee scene- to settle in Paris’s 9th arrondissement. More than just a café, Blondie offers on-site roasting for their "Coelo blend," alongside a drink menu and classic American street food. While the plate screams the USA, the diner-style decor takes you on a trip every time you grab a coffee to go or drop by for Sunday brunch. From the classic booths to the thrifted movie posters, everything is curated to feed both your cravings and your Instagram stories.

Riding the wave of their own success, Blondie has since opened three new locations across Paris: in the chic 8th arrondissement, the trendy 10th just a stone's throw from Place de la République, and they’ve just crossed the Seine to conquer the Left Bank. Nestled on Rue du Bac, this newest spot serves up a mouth-watering brunch menu featuring pancake stacks, the undefeated avocado toast, and a soul food signature: chicken and waffles. It’s the perfect spread to fill up on before diving into their parade of desserts, from cookies and cakes to their excellent house granola.

We highly recommend keeping a close eye on their Instagram page so you don’t miss the next DJ set hosted right inside the coffee shop.

Cortado teases a new location on Instagram

While the Spanish coffee shop on Rue Charlot in the 3rd arrondissement just inaugurated its "cantina" last July, a third venue might be opening very soon. At least, that’s what their Instagram account and Tom Aymerich, one of the faces of the spot, are hinting at. A third location in the... 3rd arrondissement? Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, though Rue Charlot seems to be the ultimate sweet spot for the duo behind Cortado.

Before we get to discover the new space and the concept behind it, we’ll be heading to the Cantina for a quick lunch at the counter or a dinner with friends over Spanish tapas. A no-fuss menu, attentive service, and a well-curated playlist that we hope to see (and hear) very soon on the menu of this new spot.

Menu or merch: The new lifestyle culture broken down by nss France

Beyond their gourmet menus, both spots are exporting a whole lifestyle outside their walls through their highly coveted merchandising. At Blondie, locals proudly flex their love for the spot with the wildly popular "I love Blondie" t-shirt -a direct nod to the iconic New York logo and a major underlying fashion trend. Over at Cortado, their white tee with red lettering was even signed by Rosalia herself during her visit to Rue Charlot. Whether you're giving in to a new addition on the menu or copping the latest t-shirt, it’s up to you how you want to rep your favorite spot. One thing is for sure: here at nss France, we still haven't picked a side.
