Paris Fashion Week brings down the curtain on the men's fashion month after six days of shows, from June 23 to 28. Saint Laurent opened the proceedings at the Bourse de Commerce, shrouded in the mist of Fujiko Nakaya's installation. Rick Owens, meanwhile, transformed the runway into a performance around the fountains of the Palais de Tokyo. Pharrell Williams took Louis Vuitton to the lawns of the Cité Internationale Universitaire, not without controversy, while Jonathan Anderson continued building his new look for men at Dior.
As the scorching heat of recent days bore down, the streets of Paris responded with their customary flair for the dramatic: blazers worn directly over vests and low-cut tops and shirts, marinières, tailored bermuda shorts and calf-length skirts. Bolder looks were also on display: leopard-print shirts worn as dresses paired with cowboy boots, embroidered western suits, iridescent drapery. Sporty jerseys reimagined as mini dresses, mesh tops and parachute trousers also made an appearance. On the feet, the inevitable Nike Air Force 1, worn with visible socks.Tying it all together were the lightest of fabrics, from linen to poplin to open-knit knitwear.
