5 things to do in Milan this weekend
25 to 27 April
April 25th, 2025
After the Easter holidays, spent with family or friends, at home or on vacation, for many it's time to return to Milan. But this weekend also brings a major event, the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Italy from Nazi occupation. While the country observes five days of mourning for the passing of Pope Francis last Monday, April 25th continues to promote the same message of peace that the Pope always encouraged.
Here are 5 things to do in Milan this weekend, from April 25 to 27.
To Eat - Cascina Romana
After the success of Frezza Roma, Claudio Amendola decided to bring a new venue to Milan, in the Porta Venezia district. The restaurant, called Cascina Romana, tells the gastronomic traditions of the capital across two floors. On the ground floor is Frezza, offering a typical yet reinvented Roman cuisine menu along with a cocktail selection, while on the first floor is Li Somari, featuring refined dishes created by chef Adriano Baldassarre.

To Shop - STWD
Last week, Pull&Bear opened the first ever STWD pop-up store in the world, right in Milan. The store will be open for two months in the heart of Milan, on Via Capelli, becoming a landmark for urban culture thanks to exclusive drops, events, and collaborations. The very layout of the pop-up is an immersive experience, spreading across 250 square meters decorated with graffiti, two specially created sculptures, and mirrored walls. In Milan, STWD will unveil four capsule collections divided into two exclusive drops, reinterpreting different aesthetics from '90s vintage to naturalistic imagery. Finally, on April 29, there will also be a meet & greet with urban artist Davide Vavalà, confirming Pull&Bear and STWD’s commitment to supporting young talent.

To Chill - Terme De Montel
The largest thermal park in Milan has just opened in the San Siro area. The facility occupies the former stables of the neighborhood and includes pools, saunas, cafés, bars, and large gardens. After a week of travel and celebrations, what better time to enjoy a moment of relaxation than the weekend after Easter? In 16,000 square meters of park, there are ten thermal pools, four saunas, sixteen massage rooms, a saline pool, and many other treatments.

To Discover - Nada at Fondazione Prada
This April, Fondazione Prada inaugurated a new monographic exhibition. Nada, conceived by Belgian artist Thierry De Cordier, was created specifically for the Milan venue of the Foundation. The project adds a new chapter to De Cordier’s Nada series, conceived in 1999 and still ongoing. At first, the works represented De Cordier’s desire to erase the image of the crucifixion, while later they evolved into projects exploring "the greatness of nothingness", as the artist describes.

To Celebrate - 80 years of Liberation
Following the death of Pope Francis, most of the events planned across Italy for the April 25 weekend have been canceled or postponed out of respect for the religious figure. For this reason, this week our column will replace To Club with To Celebrate, encouraging you to mark the 80th anniversary of the Liberation by joining the parade on Friday, April 25. It will start at 2:30 PM from Porta Venezia and arrive at 4 PM in Piazza Duomo, where Sandra Gilardelli will be waiting for participants.
