Diesel and END. sign a new capsule collaboration Five pieces from the Diesel archive revisited for a dive into the underground past
Under the creative direction of Glenn Martens, Diesel revives some of its most iconic pieces from 1989 to 1992 for a new capsule collection in collaboration with END. Five pieces retrace the history of the fashion and lifestyle brand with fresh eyes, telling it with a free and dynamic energy. From the English underground, the cradle of clubbing culture and the birthplace of END., the collection combines heritage, streetwear, and experimentation. Together, the two brands demonstrate the iconic nature of the past through pieces that marked an era, once again highlighting the endless synergy between music and fashion.
Drawing from the underground movement that defined the late '80s and early '90s English aesthetic, Diesel and END. revisit essential icons from the OTB brand. The 1990 nylon biker jacket is now offered in olive green with contrasting orange details; the 1992 2-in-1 convertible jacket with a coordinated vest is modular, adapting to any context; the ’90s long sleeve nods to sportswear with prints inspired by motorsport imagery, while the 1989 chalk-effect jeans reference workwear. Every piece in this capsule is designed to convey impulsiveness, dynamism, and rebellion.
The details of the capsule make the project even more special, such as the internal jacquard label END.xDiesel and the custom labels that wink at the rich history of each of the five archived pieces reissued. As if that weren’t enough, the two brands have planned a special evening to celebrate the launch of the new capsule: an exclusive event at The White Hotel in Salford, Manchester, a temple of electronic music where the spotlight will shine on a lineup curated by NTS. Leeroy Thornhill, Phil Hartnoll of Orbital, Adele Tondu, Nora, and a live hybrid set by Samuel Kerridge are set to light up Manchester in a party that unites fashion, music, and underground culture.
