5 must-see shows at Milan Fashion Week SS26 Women's And which ones to comment on together with nss during Fuorimoda Reviews Live
The fateful day is getting closer for the city of Milan, which is preparing for the most turbulent and highly anticipated Fashion Week ever. Between the debut of Simone Bellotti at Jil Sander as creative director and that of Demna at Gucci, who just released a preview of the new collection on Instagram one day before the actual show, it seems that fashion will be holding its breath all week long. In addition, Fuorimoda will make its debut, the nss project that turns the most exclusive week of the year into an event open to everyone. Throughout Fashion Week, the nss edicola space in Piazza Bruno Buozzi will host talks, meet and greets with some of the most interesting figures in Italian fashion, Live Reviews of the shows with special hosts, as well as the launch of a capsule collection and Fuorimoda Reviews, a platform to review all the season’s shows online.
Here are 5 shows you absolutely can’t miss at Milan Fashion Week SS26 Women’s. (To make sure you don’t miss them, stop by Fuorimoda and sign up for Fuorimoda Reviews)
Diesel
Despite the changes at the top of OTB, with John Galliano leaving the creative direction of Maison Margiela and Glenn Martens stepping in, Diesel is still in the hands of the Belgian designer. This season too, the brand has come up with a project to make fashion more democratic: after the September 23 show, an egg hunt will kick off in downtown Milan, open to the public to engage the brand’s Milanese community. But it will also be interesting to discover what Glenn Martens has envisioned for SS26, a collection that will be streamed live and commented on at Fuorimoda (from nss edicola in Piazza Bruno Buozzi) with Simone Furlan, PollyFittingRoom and the nss community.
Prada
The Prada show is without a doubt one of the most anticipated of Milan Fashion Week, if not the entire fashion month. The creative direction of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons confirms season after season the excellent synergy the two designers have established. Each time they present collections that perfectly capture the aesthetic zeitgeist and the needs of new generations. At Fuorimoda, Giulia Torelli, aka rockandfiocc, will review the show together with nss on September 25, in a moment of sharing and debate that will put the spotlight not only on one of the biggest brands of the moment, but also on the people attending.
The Attico
Milan Fashion Week wouldn’t be complete without a touch of glamour. That’s always the task of The Attico’s creative directors, Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini, who year after year manage to combine street style with elevated sensuality – proven by the success of the La Passeggiata bag and the hybrid sneakers Floor 01. The show, scheduled for September 26 at 7:00 p.m., will be streamed at nss edicola and reviewed for Fuorimoda Reviews Live together with Hydra, the perfect opportunity to spend an evening with one of Italy’s most followed fashion content creators, and review The Attico’s show alongside her.
Bottega Veneta
This week, in addition to the debuts of Demna and Simone Belotti, Milan will also witness the beginning of Louise Trotter’s creative direction at Bottega Veneta. Expectations are sky-high, but we are confident that the British designer, who previously worked at Lacoste on a highly successful vintage-inspired contemporary sporty aesthetic, will be able to meet them. The show, scheduled for Saturday, September 27, will be streamed on Fuorimoda Reviews Live with the nss community and commentary by Claudia Potycki, womenswear designer and content creator who promotes democratic information about the industry on TikTok and Instagram.
Ferrari
On Saturday morning, Ferrari’s show will take place, a brand that under the artistic direction of Rocco Iannone has found a clear and precise aesthetic balance, capable of nodding to the brand’s origins with modern sculptural designs, while following its own path. For this Fashion Week too, the designer has planned remarkable surprises for the Emilian brand. As part of Fuorimoda, the day after the show (Sunday, September 28 at 4:00 p.m.), Iannone will share his work with the nss community in a Q&A designed to break down some of the barriers that often rise between the public and designers.
