Etro welcomes the art of Agostino Iacurci to the new SS25 Etro Meets Art celebrates the artist's botanical works during the warm season
Etro gets ready for summer by presenting the new SS25 collection, inspired by the colors of the Mediterranean islands, artisanal fabrics and techniques, and of course, the coastal prints. With a vibrant palette that includes a deep blue and a bright yellow, the brand kicks off the season by bringing back into the spotlight the Paisley pattern, an icon of the hottest summers and already a key element in previous Etro interpretations. The cherry on top of the collection is the collaboration with Agostino Iacurci, an Italian artist who, through various media—including painting, sculpture, drawing, and installations—creates imagery rooted in his culture and personal memories, as well as literary and vernacular stories. Botany is at the heart of his work, a theme that takes center stage in this collection’s accessories and clothing, radiating with vibrant energy.
Etro’s new SS25 collection features fluid and feminine silhouettes, fresh and colorful. Among the main fabrics are linen and cotton denim, silk twill, viscose, jacquard, and cotton poplin. The richness of the prints, including floral bouquets, is enhanced by fil coupé and fringe details to add volume even to the most sinuous dresses. Etro also unveils new designs for its beachwear and foulard lines, and for men, introduces new light suede jackets with a 70s vibe and summer tailoring. This new collection celebrates not only the summer sun but also the night, portrayed through darker tones and prints featuring birds of paradise. Iacurci’s aesthetic peeks through the collection, infusing it with artistry—this collaboration led the artist to engage with the maison’s strong aesthetic codes. Colors take center stage in every piece alongside the Etro textile tradition, a combination that highlights craftsmanship as the focus of this new chapter for the brand.
