ANTI–DO–TO's new collection celebrates the planet With environmentally friendly pigments and dyeing processes

Earthbound, literally one with the earth, is the neologism invented by French sociologist, anthropologist and philosopher Bruno Latour to respond to the urgency of redefining our species on the basis of a renewed pact of symbiosis with the planet, which is no longer limited to mere attachment to the ground: we need to no longer simply be "Human" but "Earthbound", or one with the earth. ANTI-DO-TO, the activist post-streetwear brand that invests 50% of its net profits in social impact projects, with its new EARTHBOUND collection invites us to rediscover that deep connection with the planet, celebrating the materiality of its most sacred, solid and powerful element, the earth.

The EARTHBOUND collection includes fifteen models for a total look with a free and relaxed fit, made in Veneto from natural materials such as GOTS certified organic cotton and GRS guaranteed recycled cotton. What makes the collection really special is the dyeing technique, which features mineral pigments coming directly from the soil from natural lands, tested GOTS and ZDHC approved. EARTHBOUND is also the first collection curated by newly appointed creative director Giorgio Di Salvo and will be available online from 30 March to mark the brand's first birthday. The process of dyeing with mineral pigments makes it possible to obtain infinite and extraordinary dusty tones, precisely what makes the garments in the collection unique. Just as interesting is understanding the origin of the chosen colours: for example, the colour Carbon is obtained from black earths from stone-ground carbonate minerals; the colour Clay comes from a mixture of natural earths, mainly metal oxides; the colour Sky comes from stone-ground Prussian blue carbonate and pigment; finally, the colour Jade originates from stone-ground carbonates, mixed with clays and green pigment. Exclusively for the collection, the colour Terra Chroma was created: from the mix of the sand colour derived from manganese oxide earths, and the Carbon colour, an original maltinto effect was created.

The special ZETATERRA pigments, selected and certified by the Italian ZAITEX, will be used for the first time ever with ADT's EARTHBOUND collection. These pigments have a minimal impact on the environment and less than other dyeing processes, thanks to their low operating temperatures with lower energy consumption and better waste water treatment. Even more interesting is the greater durability of the colour tones compared to vegetable dyes, as well as synthetic dyes.
