Range Rover celebrates its 50th anniversary with the 'Fifty' limited edition An edition of only in 1,970 models

Range Rover is turning 50. To celebrate this important birthday, Land Rover debuted a limited series called Fifty, which will be produced in 1,970 copies of the top-spec Autobiography, paying homage to the birthdate of the first SUV debut, as the production company called it.

Presented for the first time on June 17, 1970, Range Rover has gone through five decades and four generations, conquering over the years several goals in the automotive sector and always keeping up with the times: the last and current generation, which is the fourth, born in 2012, was the first to exploit the aluminium platform and modern electronic solutions applied to powertrain and infotainment. Even today, Range Rover is the symbol of luxury cars all over the world: despite the fact that the market is filled with competitors, Range Rover has always managed to maintain its status and a level of notoriety that few other cars in the world can boast.

The Fifty special edition is inspired by Autobiography, one of Land Rover's most famous models, and includes exclusive elements such as 22'' wheels and Auric Atlas exterior finishes. The "Fifty" badge, that was personally designed by Land Rover Chief Creative Officer Gerry McGovern Obe, will appear both on the outside of the car, on the side and on the special plate "1 from 1970", and inside, placed in the central console, on the headrests, on the dashboard and on the illuminated thresholds.

The model will be available in different colours: some of them are basics such as Carpathian Gray, Rosello Red, Aruba and Santorini Black, but also vintage variants inspired by the original model of the first series: Tuscan Blue, Bahama Gold and Davos White. The interiors are available in Ebony and in the two-tone Ebony / Vintage Tan, combined with three variants of fine wood. The range of engines will include petrol, diesel and, depending on the markets, a Plug-in P400e.
