Where to eat: À la Renaissance
For the past few weeks, the bistro À La Renaissance has been under new management. Carina Soto Velásquez and Joshua Fontaine, known for their well-loved venues (Candelaria, Mary Céleste…), have taken over this 11th arrondissement institution with a simple approach: to preserve the spirit of the place. The decor hasn’t been transformed but extended with a few additions such as a marble bar and a wall mural. Open every day from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m., it welcomes guests for every occasion. In the morning, regulars drop by for a Ten Belles coffee and toast. At noon, the dishes change weekly, preceded by a self-service buffet. In the evening, the menu expands with bistro classics and personal touches from chef Min Wou Choi.
