5 things to do this weekend in Paris From July 25 to 27
In the blink of an eye, the week is already coming to an end, and the weekend is on the horizon. Meanwhile, summer is in full swing, putting an end to our winter woes. It's time to enjoy the mild temperatures and long days by venturing out of your cocoon. More than ever, the streets are buzzing with activities to suit all tastes. Discover now what the city has in store for you this weekend.
Where to eat: Chez Paris Dabang
Just steps from Rue Saint-Maur, Paris Dabang marches to its own beat. The space, with light wood and graphic accents, stretches across two floors: on the ground floor, a convivial room where people chat over a ssuk latte; upstairs, a calmer area perfect for reading, working or simply slowing down. The menu offers a selection of coffees, teas and reimagined Korean pastries. Black sesame cookies, yuzu marble cake, chestnut-shaped madeleines. Our summer favorite: bingsu, a frozen dessert made of shaved ice, fresh fruit, mochi or red beans, customizable to your taste. Since spring, the upper floor also hosts temporary exhibitions, a natural extension of the place’s ambiance. The first, titled Obsession(s), gives carte blanche to Paul Rhee, a Korean-American illustrator. True to tradition, Paris Dabang pays homage to Korean dabangs, those gathering places for chatting or simply relaxing.

To discover: "Kwir Nou Éxist" at the Tuileries
Final day today for Kwir Nou Éxist, the open-air exhibition by Raya Martigny and Édouard Richard presented as part of the Paris l’été festival. Since July 15, a series of photographic portraits of queer youth from Réunion has taken over the Carré du Sanglier in the Tuileries Garden. Conceived as a long-term documentary project, the duo’s work highlights located narratives, blending Creole heritage with LGBTQIA+ identities. The exhibition is free and accessible until site closing—a final chance to see this Paris chapter before its next stop in Réunion in September.

Where to have fun: At the BILLYothèque
Since the beginning of the week, a giant outdoor bookshelf has appeared along the Seine. IKEA celebrates its iconic BILLY in XXL form with the BILLYothèque, a temporary spot where you can drop off a novel, pick up another, or simply read on a bench. At 4:30 PM, kids gather for a read-aloud session. Nearby, advisors help indecisive readers find their next obsession. At its core, a sustainable gesture: leftover books will be redistributed by Libraries Without Borders. A simple act, extending the life of books where they’re most needed.

Where to shop: At Studio Coccellato
Launched in 2023 by Iman Coccellato, a graduate of the Institut Français de la Mode, Studio Coccellato is a young ready-to-wear label blending Parisian tailoring precision with Mediterranean inspirations. Trained at Chloé, Jean Paul Gaultier and Lanvin, the designer draws from his Sicilian and Tunisian roots to craft fashion that gives space to emotion. The pieces, often structured and fitted, aim to highlight movement rather than constrain it. Bold color contrasts and sharp cuts reflect an instinctive, precise vision of the female body. The illustrated silk scarf, now a signature on Instagram, helped the brand gain a wider following. Studio Coccellato speaks to a free, contemporary woman, equally devoted to sustainability and elegance.
Where to party: With Hors Sol at Prairie du Canal
Hors-Sol returns to Prairie du Canal for a new open-air edition, featuring sets by Maara, Jolly and Tewo Rina. The location? A former wasteland turned urban farm welcoming the public in an open setting, just minutes from the metro. At the heart of the event: a custom sound system by Farï Sound Solution, designed to offer clarity without distorting the space. Far from the usual frenzy, the vibe is intentional and inclusive. Consent, respect and discretion on the dance floor are the golden rules.
