5 things to do this weekend in Paris From July 18 to 20

In the blink of an eye, the week is coming to an end, and the weekend is just around the corner. Meanwhile, summer is in full swing, putting an end to our winter woes. It's time to enjoy the mild temperatures and long days by stepping out of your cocoon. More than ever, the streets are buzzing with activities to suit every taste. Discover now what the city has in store for you this weekend.

Where to eat: Casa Pregonda

While tapas seem confined to the south and the trend for small sharing plates is slowly fading in Paris, Casa Pregonda discreetly goes against the grain. Nestled on a quiet street in the 2nd arrondissement, this Minorcan-inspired restaurant offers a simple and refreshing break, far from the city's buzzing spots. The human-sized venue feels like a vacation home: green shutters, white walls, exposed beams, and traditional tiles. You settle in with no rush, in a soft, welcoming atmosphere. The service is attentive and kind, without being pushy. Here, no one hurries you to finish your drink or clear the table. The menu features some Spanish classics – croquetas, Cantabrian anchovies, pan con tomate – alongside heartier dishes like black arroz with shrimp or a caldereta, a Minorcan specialty. A selection of wines and house drinks – Pomada, tinto de verano, cava sangria – rounds out the experience for a smooth dinner.

What to discover: Café Isaka at Dover Street Market

Since July 14, the cobblestone courtyard of Dover Street Market Paris has been transformed into a frozen stopover. For one week, the concept store is hosting artisan ice cream maker Café Isaka for a pop-up that is both trendy and refreshing. Known for its unique Asian-influenced flavors, the brand offers creations like black sesame, lemon-tia tô, pandan, and even a surprising soy ice cream. All made in their Paris lab. A frosty break to enjoy between two floors of cutting-edge fashion.

Where to have fun: Outdoor screening at La Seine Musicale

From July 15 to 18, Mk2 is back for its summer edition of Cinéclub Paradiso at La Seine Musicale. The forecourt will host four nights of free open-air cinema as part of the “L’Été en Seine” summer programming. Films are shown both outside and inside the Grande Seine, with deckchairs facing the screen and a view of the river. Everything is sold out, of course, but a few tickets are released online each day. A simple, popular format proving that outdoor cinema still has its place during Parisian summers.

Where to shop: Galerie Emprise Studio

Galerie Emprise is a brand founded by designer Coralie, known as @byccnut on Instagram. Initially conceived as a graduation project, the brand emerged around one iconic piece: a quilted oversized balaclava, created in response to Instagram's influence on young girls’ self-image. After gaining attention, Coralie made the piece public under the name Galerie Emprise. The brand embraces a hybrid approach combining fashion design, artistic exhibition, and independent publishing. It offers limited-edition handmade pieces available only via pre-order, along with experimental projects in the form of exhibitions and self-published journals. The latest release for summer: an oversized eyelet short called the eyelet summer jort, available in blue and grey.
