5 things to do this weekend in Paris From May 17th to 19th
In the blink of an eye, the week is coming to an end, and the weekend is just around the corner. At the same time, spring has made its grand return to put an end to our winter struggles. It's time to enjoy the mild temperatures and long days by stepping outside your cocoon. More than ever, the streets are buzzing with activities to suit all tastes. Discover now what the city has in store for you this weekend.
Where to eat: Chez Approach
Located just steps away from the Opéra, Approach officially opens its doors on May 17. After Seoul, it's now Paris' turn to welcome this brunch café with a bold identity: somewhere between London breakfasts and Korean comfort food. From 8:30am, you can enjoy eggs Benedict, shakshuka, English breakfast, and Dakkukbap, a traditional Korean soup made for lackluster mornings. At noon, things pick up: generous sandos, kimchi rice, twisted pasta, chopped salads. And in the afternoon (until 4:30pm), it’s all about the sweet: honey bread, matcha pound cakes, super fluffy roll cakes. All paired with a serious coffee game: beans from Ten Belles or Assembly, homemade juices, sparkling Korean drinks, and a signature creation — the Approach Coffee, a cold brew topped with a light citrus zest cream. A place built to last, halfway between Seoul and Shoreditch, with a sun-drenched terrace to top it off.

To discover: The second edition of Premier Jus by SOIF agency
Premier Jus returns for a second edition at the Arches Citoyennes, with the same aim: to make space for those who have just started out, and who choose to produce differently. For two days, around thirty winemakers, distillers and non-alcoholic artisans – all in business for less than three years – will be sharing their first cuvées. Bottles designed as experimental playgrounds, without additives, often in small batches, always close to the living. On the agenda: tastings, discussions, a free and accessible knowledge-sharing space, a plant-based banquet imagined by chef Alexis Bijaoui, and a free-access party powered by Grand Soir, Maxye, and the Unlimited Hi-Fi sound system. Salon entry: €10. Party: free. Banquet: reservation only.

Where to have fun: Le Cornichon turns one
It’s already been a year since Le Cornichon found its place on Rue des Goncourt, with its generous cuisine and sunny terrace. To celebrate, the team is throwing the doors wide open on Saturday, May 17 from 4pm. In the afternoon, kids take the spotlight: ball pit, face painting, magic balloons, cakes and hot dogs in a simple, joyful vibe. Then, from 7pm, the restaurant goes festive: cocktails, piñata, music until 2am, and a special anniversary hot dog to try, which will stay on the menu all week. It’s also the perfect time to taste the new summer menu — Milanese cutlet, radishes with butter, rhubarb clafoutis — and rediscover the terrace, now larger and bathed in evening light.

Where to shop: At a Julie Kegels pop-up
On May 17 and 18, Julie Kegels lands in Paris for her very first pop-up at 4 Rue Mont Louis. On offer: a handful of SS25 pieces, and above all, the season’s UFO — her thong sock. After making a splash at Fashion Week on the boldest silhouettes with her thong-like shoes, the designer is at it again. If you raised an eyebrow (or two) at this half-Chuck, half-thong creation, that’s totally normal. That’s the point. Born of an unexpected collab with Converse, the piece takes a deliberate step out of bounds, twisting the Chuck Taylor into a NSFW mutant version.

Where to party: With Courir for Mother’s Day
This Saturday, May 17, Courir transforms the Marais into a playground for mini artists and stylish moms. Between a free latte, a keychain workshop, and a giant mural to color in, the event smells like sugar, markers, and motherly love. Scrapbooking, photo booth, customizable sneakers — it’s the perfect time to say thanks, Mom or just enjoy a creative afternoon with family.
