--01 How is Paris nowadays?

Paris will always be quite dirty, crazy and busy… but I honestly feel like Paris is at its peak in terms of vibes and attractiveness. I’ve never experienced seeing that many foreigners in town and it sometimes feels like every creative from around the world, and no matter the industry, is moving here.

There is a sense of tranquility to this city, life is easy, the creative scene is purely amazing, you get to experience the nicest food and wine, prices are still (relatively) cheap for an international capital etc… I couldn’t wish to be anywhere else right now.

--02 Where is your happy place/sanctuary in Paris and why?

I am a big fan of design and architecture so I’d definitely say Galerie Patrick Seguin. It’s a small space located in the 11th that displays furnitures designed by Charlotte Perriand, Jean Prouvé and Le Corbusier. They honestly have the most amazing collection and it changes every couple months. It is designed like a house so I get to imagine that I live there and forget about everything else.

--03 What do you think is the most interesting creative scene in the city right now?

I do think that all the creative scenes are buzzing in Paris right now but I would say that Fashion is probably the most interesting. It somehow has the advantage of being closely connected to all the other creative industries and as I’m working in it I often tend to promote my own agenda.

In my opinion Paris is the number one destination for Fashion and it keeps on attracting talented professionals from all over the world.

--04 What are 3 places in Paris (bars, clubs, restaurants, stores...) you would bring a friend visiting you to?

I’d start off with a quick tour of Galerie Patrick Seguin and then go grab dinner at YARD, one of my favorite restaurants in Paris. They serve the most amazing food and have a great selection of natural wines. It’s in a nice up and coming neighborhood, a bit far away from what we would call city center but it’s totally worth it. The menu changes quite often and matches the seasons so my only recommendation would be to try a bit of everything and if they have their Caramelized Onion Tarte Tatin don’t miss it!  It’s also a great option if you’re only looking to sip some wine.

Then I would end the night by grabbing cocktails at FREQUENCES, a cool Japanese inspired listening bar that displays records and has live DJ sessions on the weekend. My go-to cocktail there is an Americano-Japonais but trust me each one of them is amazing! Also, those 3 places are a short walking distance from each other so that would also be a great option for a date or a night out with friends ;)

--05 What is something you believe Paris is currently missing?

I don’t think Paris is missing anything in particular but I think there is some space left in the Vintage Fashion industry, especially for Men.

Considering what you can find in New York, London or even Stockholm, I find the offer to be ridiculously low and not very qualitative. There have been a lot of improvements in the recent years with dozens of new shops/pop-ups and online boutiques but the focus is most of the time on womenswear.
