"WIDEYES – Beyond Creative Movement" is exactly what Milan needs The main FuoriSalone event between DJ sets and immersive installations
The Milan Design Week 2026, with its innovative spirit, becomes the stage for all those hybrid experiences that are gradually settling into the contemporary landscape. This is the case with WIDEYES – Beyond Creative Movement, the new format that opened the Chiostri di Santa Maria alla Fontana to the public, transforming them into an immersive experience of music, design and architecture in the heart of the Isola Design District, during FuoriSalone and with an eye to the years ahead.
Already on April 24, during Design Week, the external semicircle and surrounding areas hosted the launch event evening, created in collaboration with Atarashi. The project, already active, is bringing one of Milan’s most fascinating and lesser-known Renaissance complexes to life, returning it to visitors as a contemporary space for gathering, listening and experimentation. The electronic music line-up featured the Curly Brothers as opening act and DJ Tennis as the main act, an internationally renowned artist and founder of the label Life and Death. The set was conceived to engage with the history of the venue and with the Design Week audience. Guests then toasted with a premium cocktail list based on Belvedere Vodka.
Nothing was left to chance, including the spaces featuring a relaxation area with outdoor furniture by Kartell and a Listening Bar, with a music programme that included Elvio Seta, also known as Neuf Voix. Also noteworthy was the participation of Matteo Mauro, an internationally recognised artist known for his research between art, technology and matter. Production was curated by LOOK MI and Sbalzo, with the support of technical, creative and media partners, while audio was handled by AudioLai.
Within this context, WIDEYES – Beyond Creative Movement explores the boundary between music and design, showing how rhythm, sound, and composition can be conceived as forms of design, and space itself as an expressive instrument. WIDEYES embodies the principle "DESIGN AS CULTURE, CLUBBING AS ART", finding its fullest expression not only during FuoriSalone, when Milan reaffirms itself as an urban laboratory of experimentation where design, music, and culture converge, but also in the extension of the residency beyond the temporal boundaries of the event. A decision made natural by the significant resonance generated by the project, confirming the need for spaces and visions in which different creative languages can coexist, contaminate one another, and continue to produce imagery. Thus laying the foundations for a future yet to be written.
