Ray-Ban and Art Basel Paris invite us to imagine the impossible The eyewear brand once again collaborates with major artistic institutions

Has imagining the impossible become a lost art? We live in a fast-moving world where almost anything can be created, generated, and replicated in an instant. Starting from this reflection, Ray-Ban renews its collaboration with Art Basel on the occasion of the fair's Paris edition, presenting a project called Impossible Frames, which explores the relationship between contemporary art, visual culture, and creative freedom.

Imagination is the key to creating something innovative. With this premise, Ray-Ban invites artists to celebrate their inner rebellion through the creation of an impossible frame, free from the constraints imposed by materials, structure, and commercial viability: an escape route from conformity. The tactile installation, with its raw visual language, creates a contrast with the monumental setting of the Grand Palais, through an interplay of neon lights, aluminium, and brick walls wrapped in cables, evoking the idea of an imagination capable of transcending every limit.

With this initiative, the eyewear brand aims to champion imagination and reaffirm its connection to the world of contemporary art, demonstrating how creativity can find new forms of expression when freed from conventional constraints. In a context where even imagination risks being constantly measured against the limits of functionality and commercial viability, Impossible Frames instead proposes to overcome them, transforming the impossible into a starting point for new ideas. The collaboration between Ray-Ban and Art Basel Paris thus becomes an opportunity to celebrate the individuality of artists and their desire to take risks, making room for a creativity that does not necessarily have to answer to the rules of what is possible.
