MICHAEL: Songs from the Motion Picture is coming on April 24, the official soundtrack of the highly anticipated film dedicated to Michael Jackson, available digitally and in all physical formats. MICHAEL, the film directed by Antoine Fuqua and produced by Academy Award winner Graham King, set for release on April 22, tells the human and artistic journey of Michael Jackson, from his early rise as frontman of the Jackson 5 to his transformation into a global icon and absolute innovator of pop language.
In the role of Michael Jackson, his nephew Jaafar Jackson makes his debut, alongside a cast that includes Nia Long, Juliano Valdi, KeiLyn Durrel Jones, Laura Harrier, Miles Teller and Colman Domingo, with a screenplay by John Logan. The production is led by Graham King together with John Branca and John McClain, with the aim of restoring the artistic and cultural legacy of an artist who continues to define the contemporary musical imagination. The album, distributed by Sony Music, features 13 tracks spanning the entire artistic trajectory of the King of Pop, from his early days with the Jackson 5 and the Jacksons to his solo consecration with masterpieces such as Off the Wall and Thriller.
