Who's the most stylish French rapper of 2025?
Here's the answer, according to a study of Google searches on rappers and their outfits
April 1st, 2025
If in the past, the uniform of any respectable rapper religiously consisted of a cap worn sideways, baggy jeans, and large gold chains, today, the protagonists of the French-speaking urban music scene show that things have evolved. From SCH’s always perfectly slicked-back hair complementing well-tailored pants and jackets to Damso’s looks that earn him a front-row seat at Paris Fashion Week, in 2025, one can be both a rapper and a fashion icon. This is something JD Sport has understood very well. The store has analyzed Google search data to create a ranking of the most stylish rappers of 2025 based on statistics. So, here is the list of the big winners, in order.
At the top of the ranking is our beloved Julien, a highly appreciated jury member of Nouvelle École and president of the "gâtés": SCH. Followed by no less than 2.1 million subscribers, the Marseille rapper has generated no fewer than 390 monthly searches for his style and 320 for his outfits. Behind him is Gazo, known for bringing and popularizing drill rap in France, totaling 260 searches for his style and 110 for his outfits. He often shares these looks on Instagram, where his 1.9 million followers can see snapshots featuring Goyard bags, Chanel accessories, and his Louis Vuitton beanie collection. Rounding out the top three is Laylow, who may have “only” 30 monthly searches for his outfits but boasts a higher Instagram engagement rate than his two colleagues at 17.4%.
The rest of the rappers in this ranking are no less impressive. The list includes Winnterzuko, Favé, Kékra, Werenol, Luidji, PLK, Tiakola, and Damso, tied for tenth place, both with a 4% Instagram engagement rate and 70 monthly searches for their style. But ten is a rather small number, considering the French-speaking urban scene also includes artists like Orelsan (a Dior ambassador), La Fève (seen on the Off-White podium or front row at Dior shows), and Kalash (who attends Amiri and Off-White shows, befriends Simon Porte Jacquemus, and even modeled at Vogue World last June). And if one wonders why women are excluded from this ranking, the answer is simple: they would outperform them all, one by one.
