The new collection of Valerio Leone between asymmetries and overlapping Iconic garments deconstructed and recontextualized in a new language

Valerio Leone, a brand supported by Alessandro Dell'Acqua's mentoring project and born from the homonymous Neapolitan designer and his Russian muse and wife, Nastya Shershen, has presented a new collection entitled Sekretiki, in which clothes become a symbol of the brand's cultural background, joining eras and cultures at antipodes.

The philosophy of the brand - based on the overlapping of different eras, cultures, styles and aesthetic canons, taking inspiration from already existing iconic garments, deconstructing them and recontextualizing them in a new language of ready-to-wear - is told through an anecdote that represents the need to bind ourselves to an object as the guardian of our emotions. Sekretiki (little secrets) was a popular pastime for Soviet children, which consisted of showing your friends your collection of personal items buried in the ground under a piece of glass and became one of the first experiences of forming a friendship group.

Sekretiki is a point of reflection on the care of objects, their permanent existence and their changing meaning through Leone's aesthetics composed of juxtaposed asymmetries, superimpositions and valomes. Their natural metamorphosis given by time, is for us an antidote against the canonical concept of old or new.
