"Youth" is the best word to describe the brand run by the 17 years old Pierre Kaczmarek. It could sound simplistic, but it's not. Genuine creativity,

It could sound simplistic, but it's not. Genuine creativity, freedom, and freshness are all tangible just by throwing a glance on his work. His clothes express the impetus of a young creative mind that urges to manifest itself, yet is also capable of delicateness and severe introspection. Pierre started designing t-shirts for his friends in school at the age of 15. The reason why the brand is called "Afterhomework" is because, despite his design aspirations, Pierre's parents always insisted on him to put school first.  

The success achieved at first inside his circle of friends, rapidly spread outside, pushing him to go ahead and take his brand to the next level. Together with his girlfriend and partner - the stylist Elena Mottola - the duo debuted with a picturesque off-schedule runway show, during Paris fashion week in 2016. They firmly decided to use only friends and schoolmates as models and, what started as and experimentation, ended up being a show that the day after was on everyone's lips in the fashion press. Then in 2017 the set up their second show.

The collection spoke by itself: sophisticated shapes, conceptual cuts and a palette that merges dark tones with dull pastel colors. Everything reminded of a lost childhood. The sudden and estranging road that brings to the loss of innocence. Melancholy and poetry of time endless flow. The brilliant casting and styling by the young and talented Elena Mottola strongly underlined the main themes of the collection. She was capable of giving life to a perfect mix of non-models, bringing out an atmosphere, both before and after the show, that totally recalled the brutal romance of Larry Clark's Kids. Afterhomework is growing fast and deep. Today, Afterhomework Paris has caught the eye of a quite large international press and insiders audience, yet it doesn't seem to be losing a single atom of its former spirit. The teenager designer and his stylist partner are voices of a brand new generation that is claiming for attention and respect and that totally deserve them.
