Rapper Lil Peep is dead last night at only 21 years old.

The news traveled fast tweet after tweet, until official confirmation by Chase Ortega, the manager of the young artist who wrote on Twitter: “I’ve been expecting this call for a year. Mother fuck”.

The death would take place before a concert in Tucson, Arizona, and although the cause has not yet been revealed, many, including English newspaper the Guardian, speak of a suspicious overdose.

Gustav Ahr, real name of the singer ( “Peep” was like his mother called him as a child), after troubled adolescence, it was noted on the web with the pieces “White wine” and “Girls”, but had only recently released his debut album “Come Over When You're Sober, Pt 1”.

Influenced by My Chemical Romance and Blink-182, his music was described as "emo-trap" and although was abou dark themes such as cocaine, suicide, depression, destroyed love, the goal of Lil was “to save people’s lives like how my life was saved…Sometimes you feel like an artist is talking directly to you. That’s what I try to do with my music. I try to think about different problems people are having.”

Many moved reactions to the artist’s death.

“Peep had so much more to do man he was constantly inspiring me. I dont feel good man” wrote Diplo.

Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boys has published “No, not Lil Peep”.

Post Malone, finally, reminded him with this message:

“In the short time that I knew you, you were a great friend to me and a great person. your music changed the world and it’ll never be the same. I love you bud. Forever”.
