Solange is the new face of the latest Nike + Jacquemus campaign Nike and Jacquemus are dropping three fresh colorways for the Moon Shoe

The story between the American sportswear giant and Simon Porte Jacquemus’ French label isn’t new. First revealed to the public in June 2022, it actually took three years of collaboration to get here. The journey started with reimagined sportswear: redesigned sports bras, asymmetric tops, and, of course, sneakers. While the first Nike + Jacquemus sneaker leaned on hiking vibes, the duo isn’t stopping there, they’re exploring new arenas.

With the Moon Shoe, Nike and Jacquemus have crafted a silhouette somewhere between an athletic trainer and a ballet flat. This hybrid perfectly captures the meeting of two worlds: Nike’s technical obsession on one side, Jacquemus’ vibrant sensuality on the other. The model first appeared on the Jacquemus Spring-Summer 2025 runway in bold red, black, and beige. “Three years ago, while digging through Nike archives, I discovered the legendary Moon Shoe for the first time,” says Simon Porte Jacquemus. “I found a unique, minimalist running shoe. Timeless yet so current in its simplicity and design. I knew it was the perfect moment to create a new story and reinterpret it through Jacquemus’ aesthetic.”

This season, the silhouette returns in softer tones. Powdery, natural shades fully embrace the balletcore vibe, one of the hottest obsessions of recent seasons. With its thin yet textured sole, the Moon Shoe effortlessly bridges sport performance and dance fantasy. To embody this delicate balance, singer Solange Knowles is the face of the campaign. Ultra-credible in both music and fashion, the “Cranes in the Sky” star appears natural, almost caught in the moment.

Unsurprisingly, the new colorways sold out lightning fast. The brown edition is already gone, while the pink and white versions remain only in a few oversized sizes. Instant success that proves the commercial power of this collab. On the resale front, hype resellers are already cashing in. Originally priced at €180, some pairs are now going for eight times that on certain platforms. This price spike has become almost standard with every Nike + Jacquemus drop, highlighting how speculative and opportunistic the sneaker aftermarket remains, even in a market recently thought to be fragile.

With Solange Knowles as the campaign’s face, this drop is more than just a release: the Moon Shoe is fast becoming a cult sneaker. This collab proves that even in a supposedly fragile market, Nike x Jacquemus continues to set the rules.

The Nike + Jacquemus Moon Shoe is available in stores and on the Jacquemus website since March 9.
