Continuum reuses waste products through ten artistic collaborations

Gucci reinvented the Vans Old Skool Continuum reuses waste products through ten artistic collaborations

The digital concept store Gucci Vault just launched Continuum, an experimental initiative that repurposes the House's archival pieces and discarded fabrics for exclusive collaborations with leading artists and brands. Supporting circular fashion, Gucci Continuum combines creativity and conscious production in an organic way, to «transcend the boundaries of time and space.» Branching out the continuum vision in a kaleidoscopic way, Gucci Vault inaugurated the new project through partnerships with 10 different creatives, such as Alice Pons, Alpha Industries and Slam Jam, Call of the Void, Collina Strada, DRx Romanelli, EGONLAB, Hodakova, Proleta Re Art, Rave Review, and Vans.

Equipped with unused materials and archival prototypes, these big names in the fashion system have interpreted the Gucci imagery in their own way, creating clothing, accessories, footwear, and art objects with cutting-edge production techniques. Vans' Gucci Continuum collection reinvented the iconic Old Skools, the OG Mules, and the Classic Slip-Ons with new colors, merging the DNA of the American skate-wear brand with that of the Gucci maison, just like when, during its historical beginnings, Vans allowed its customers to customize the fabric of their shoes in patchwork style. The collection is available online at the Gucci Vault website.
