PRINT Makes Its Grand Return to Arles for the Rencontres de la Photographie From July 5 to 26, PRINT Comes Back Home

After three intense months spent bringing an old Paris telephone exchange to life, PRINT returns to where it all began. For its third edition, the collective is setting up its summer quarters in the heart of the spectacular Parc des Ateliers at LUMA Arles, right in the thick of the Rencontres de la Photographie. For three weeks, PRINT will be the ultimate gathering spot for festival-goers, no matter the time of day or night.

The schedule for a perfect day? Start smoothly with a morning coffee to wake up the mind before diving into the exhibition that catches your eye. For a moment suspended in time, head over to the exclusive listening room designed alongside ASICS - the perfect spot to slow down the pace. As the day winds down: a dinner under the stars crafted by chef Alexis Bijaoui, followed by sunset cocktails with breathtaking views of Frank Gehry’s iconic tower. And for the night owls, the night joyfully rolls on in the open-air club.

Conceived in a continuous dialogue with LUMA Arles, this edition blends a sharp scenography by Mathilde Gullaud, a sun-drenched musical lineup orchestrated with Cracki Records, and a cutting-edge exhibition curated by Camille Denoix and Marine Billet. A concentrated mix of encounters, performances, and timeless moments to experience throughout the Arles fortnight.

When an Entire City Lives to the Rhythm of Photography

Across more than forty exhibitions scattered throughout the city’s most exceptional heritage sites - from hidden chapels to the famous listed facade of the Monoprix - the Rencontres d’Arles have been showcasing global photographic heritage every summer since 1970. What started as an intimate gathering for image lovers has evolved over the decades into a major cultural event. Since the early 2000s, the festival has enjoyed unprecedented success. Proof of its prestige, the biggest names have taken the reins of this massive, summer-long programming in the past, including Martin Parr, Raymond Depardon, Nan Goldin, and Arlesian couturier Christian Lacroix.

The excitement reaches its peak during the opening week in early July. The entire city of Arles transforms into an open-air creative hive. A true crossroads for exchange, the festival invites artists and curators to connect with the public through guided tours, debates, panels, and book signings. Alongside the official tracks, evenings come alive with nightly projections, concerts, and artistic performances. The icing on the cake: the famous Nuit de l’Année (on July 11), the festival’s unmissable festive celebration, invites everyone to celebrate photography and dance the night away.

While the Rencontres d’Arles will run from July 6 to October 4, a stop by PRINT’s creative hub from July 5 to 26 is an absolute must. Merging photography, gastronomy, and clubbing, this is where the most vibrant heart of contemporary creation beats.
