5 things to do in Milan this weekend
From 2 to 4 May
May 2nd, 2025
Between one holiday and another (and yet another), it’s finally time to return full-time to Milan. Among the big comebacks, there’s also the return of the heat, with a more-than-mild climate of 27°C that keeps giving the Lombard capital a preview of what looks like the upcoming summer season. If you’re not too busy with spring cleaning and want to enjoy the city, but you’re still a little out of the loop, as every week here are the 5 things to do this weekend in Milan, by nss.
To eat – Associazione Salumi e Vini Naturali
At first glance, Associazione Salumi e Vini Naturali looks like just another shopfront on Corso Garibaldi, not worth a second look. But the venue hides one of the most beautiful gems in all of northern Milan: an inner courtyard where you can taste a refined wine list and an Italian menu with a modern twist.
Corso Garibaldi, 41
To chill – The Seed
For almost two months now, a new creative space called The Seed has opened in the heart of Cinque Giornate. A hybrid between a Scandinavian café and a coworking space, the bar is perfect for an afternoon snack of plant-based desserts and specialty coffee. Plus, their calendar is packed with events aimed at promoting the community.
Viale Monte Nero, 78
To discover – George Hoyningen-Huene @ Palazzo Reale
In mid-May, the exhibition at Palazzo Reale dedicated to George Hoyningen-Huene, one of the great pioneers of fashion photography, will come to an end. The exhibition is divided into ten sections, each exploring some of the main themes of his work: from travel to fashion, from nudes to portraits, up to Hollywood and Surrealism.
Piazza Duomo, 12
To shop – Wunder Mrkt
On Sunday, the last Wunder Mrkt of the season arrives, once again in collaboration with the Sprint De Milano space. Over 100 exhibitors from all over Italy will bring the best of handmade, vintage, and independent design, accompanied by DJ sets, live concerts, and roaming performances. From breakfast to aperitivo, selected food corners will be available throughout the day along with upcycling workshops for kids. Free entry with RSVP on dice.fm.
To party – Yoyaku @ VACUUM
On Friday, May 2nd, Vacuum will celebrate the 10th anniversary of Yoyaku, the Parisian collective that is much more than just a label: record store, distributor, booking agency, and discovery platform. Independence, human connection, and “coup de cœur” moments guide their instinctive and personal musical selection. Tickets are available on dice.fm.
