DeMellier brings the it-bag of the moment to Stockholm Two days of celebrations for the new “Stockholm” model

To celebrate the origin and inspiration behind the style of the Stockholm bag, DeMellier brought an international group of editors, creators and creative voices to Stockholm. The choice of the city was not accidental: the Stockholm was born here and fully reflects its identity: modern, essential yet sophisticated, defined by a discreet elegance.
From this idea emerged an intimate two-day celebration designed to place craftsmanship, community and female empowerment at its center. Among the guests were also Vanessa Kingori and Hanna Schönberg, immersed in an experience carefully created to reflect the spirit of the bag.
The celebration opened with a dinner at the Royal Swedish Opera, in a striking atmosphere and, just days before the International Women’s Day, the evening also became a moment to reflect on the brand’s values. Founder Mireia Llusia-Lindh shared the inspiration behind the Stockholm and DeMellier’s commitment to creating high-quality products in an ethical way, while supporting meaningful causes through the “A Bag, A Life” initiative.
The following day, guests moved to the Stockholm archipelago, immersed in nature, to discover more closely the savoir faire behind the bag. Through a dedicated workshop, it was possible to step inside the creative process and understand the care required to achieve its structured yet soft shape. The day then continued with moments typical of Swedish culture such as the traditional Swedish pastry break with the fika ritual and a sauna surrounded by nature, concluding with a visit to the Skyspace installation by James Turrell, accompanied by a live operatic performance.
From conversations around the table to moments of discovery in the Swedish archipelago, the experience fully reflected the values that continue to define DeMellier: conscious design, enduring craftsmanship and the belief that mutual support between women can generate real change. Just like the bag that inspired it, the celebration captured the very essence of Stockholm: modern, quietly powerful and elegantly sophisticated.
