“Past Informs Future”

Vans and WP Lavori in Corso join forces for a special collection “Past Informs Future” celebrating their long and respective history. It was WP Lavori in Corso that brought Vans to Italy over the years, creating a spontaneous relationship due to the two companies' similar family roots.

Exploring WP's archive in Bologna, Italy, the Vans design team discovered a vast collection of original products and documents from the 1980s and 1990s that were the inspiration for this "heritage" collection that includes sneakers and apparel inspired by the original WP Lavori in Corso x Vans editions.

To celebrate the arrival of this collaboration, nss magazine interviewed four categories of creatives who wear Vans to discover their special relationship with the brand by having them share their personal stories and their personal connection to the most iconic pieces in the Vans archive. The four groups of creatives who are part of the brand's community are photographers specializing in analog cameras, digital artists, skateboarders, and, of course, collectors of the brand who have been enriching their archives for years.
