Marchesi kicks off the holiday season by unveiling its new Milan storewindows A love letter to Milan
Once again this year, Marchesi 1824 celebrates Christmas with an extraordinary selection of leavened cakes that tell the story of over two centuries of pastry art. At the center of the scene remains the Classic Panettone, a symbol of the maison and of Milanese tradition, offered in sizes ranging from 500 grams up to the majestic 10 kilograms, made with natural yeast and a long fermentation process. Alongside it, a collection of Special Panettones that renew tradition with unique flavors and refined pairings: from figs with honey and vanilla with chocolate and red fruits, to candied chestnuts with pistachio, and more aromatic versions like pear, cinnamon, and ginger. There are also variations designed for specific needs, such as lactose-free or candied fruit–free options, and more minimal reinterpretations like the Aurora, without raisins or candied fruit, or the classic chocolate version. The absolute novelty of this season is the Meneghino, a Grand Marnier panettone that pays homage to Milan’s elegant taste, presented in a refined hatbox.
Completing the Christmas selection are the gift boxes meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail and the hand-decorated panettones and pandoros made with almond paste and royal icing, available on request and customizable with Christmas motifs or references to the iconic Marchesi 1824 crown. For those who prefer a savory option, the maison also offers Gastronomic Panettones. Finally, to make the festive atmosphere even more special, Marchesi 1824 dedicates a moment of pure creativity to the little ones with the Decoration Workshop – Gingerbread Edition, a hands-on experience held at the Via Orobia workshop on November 12 and 19. Guided by master pastry chefs, children can decorate gingerbread houses and cookies, discovering the art of pastry-making in a festive way.
