5 things to do in Paris this weekend
From March 28th to 30th
March 28th, 2025
In the blink of an eye, the week is ending, and the weekend is on the horizon. The good weather has made its grand return to end our winter struggles. It's time to enjoy the mild temperatures and longer days by venturing out of your cocoon. More than ever, the streets are buzzing with activities to suit all tastes. Discover now what the city has in store for you this weekend.
Where to Eat: At Café Lune
In the 20th, cafés have that certain something more authentic and warm. No need for polished concrete walls or curated playlists—here, it's all about good, simple things. One of the latest spots added to this gourmet map: Café Lune. A sage-colored cocoon nestled on Rue de Ménilmontant, where Karen and Pierre, a Franco-Mexican couple, put as much care into the decor as they do into the plate. Frothy lattes, a refined vegetarian menu, and a matcha worth the detour—all served with a smile and a real sense of detail. This weekend, the duo is going full comfort food: plump homemade buns. A veggie version with roasted vegetables, melted mozzarella, and red pepper cream. Or carnitas-style: slow-cooked pork, guacamole, and pickled red onions. The kind of break that makes you want to linger on the terrace, even under a gray sky.

Must-See: Azzedine Alaïa / Thierry Mugler at Fondation Alaïa
If you haven't been yet, head to the Fondation Azzedine Alaïa for "1980/1990 – Two Decades of Artistic Connection," an exhibition exploring the creative bond between two fashion giants: Alaïa and Mugler. From their first collaboration in 1979 to their stylistic exchanges throughout the '80s, the exhibit traces how their distinct visions—one sculptural and understated, the other spectacular and theatrical—nourished each other. Through a selection of pieces from the couturier’s personal archives, including forty by Mugler, visitors can observe how their worlds—precise tailoring on one side, masterful extravagance on the other—complement each other. A deep dive into the 1980s, where cuts reigned supreme, glamour was embraced, and fashion was seen as an ongoing dialogue. Open daily until June 29 on Rue de la Verrerie.

Where to Have Fun: Banlieues Bleues Jazz Festival
Once again this year, Banlieues Bleues restores Seine-Saint-Denis as a lively, urgent, and vibrant stage. The festival kicked off at Université Paris 8—a highly symbolic place, a melting pot of ideas and activism. Until April 19, the festival weaves a diverse program where jazz interacts with poetry, electronic music, reimagined traditions, and insurgent voices: Casey, Stogie T, Lova Lova, Meskerem Mees, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Nubiyan Twist, and Jupiter & Okwes. In a time saturated with formulaic narratives, the festival continues to make the stage a space for friction, memory, and freedom. More than just a musical event, Banlieues Bleues has become, over the years, a mental territory—one of active listening.

Where to Shop: With A.P.C and Asics
Just in time for the European tournament season, A.P.C. and ASICS are unveiling their first head-to-toe tennis collaboration. The collection, available from April 5th in shops and online, features 50 pieces in all, divided between on-court and off-court looks. On the programme: technical outfits designed for performance - dresses, shorts, tops - worn by ASICS athletes such as Alex de Minaur or Belinda Bencic, but also lifestyle pieces signed Judith Touitou, including a Tote Raquette in Japanese denim and a revisited version of the GEL-KAYANO™ 14s. On the design side, we find the pure DNA of A.P.C. with a blue and white palette, nods to Japan (kasane, shibori, enso) and a real desire to marry functionality and style. The designs are unisex, minimalist and designed to keep pace, whether on the court or on the terrace.
