How did the 080 Barcelona Fashion SS26 go? Barcelona is back at the center of the fashion scene

When thinking about Fashion Week, the first cities that come to mind are usually Milan, Paris and New York. Yet many other fashion events often take a back seat despite their significant impact on the creative industry, and among them is 080 Barcelona Fashion: a platform that, year after year, promotes the transformation of the creative industry through innovation and imagination.

From October 14 to 17, the 36th edition of the event turned the city into a meeting point for fashion, creativity and inspiration. The combination of these elements showcased the key trends of the upcoming season while maintaining the event’s main goal: spreading awareness around sustainability and diversity in fashion.

Included in the 2025 Barcelona Fashion Week programme was also the fourth edition of 080 Reborn, the initiative promoting a circular fashion system through the recycling of second-hand garments. The Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau once again served as the venue for this major event, hosting 25 fashion shows over just four days and turning Barcelona into the epicentre of innovation.

The talents on the runway

This year’s edition brought together 24 brands and 25 fashion shows, confirming 080 Barcelona Fashion as one of the most vital platforms in independent fashion. The runway featured established names such as Custo Barcelona and Dominnico, alongside a new generation of designers shifting the centre of gravity of Spanish creativity, including Zoe Oms, Reparto and Moisés Nieto.

Zoe Oms opened the second day with Cloud, a collection that transforms the melancholy of rainy days into a romantic and dark language. Puffy volumes, ruffles and layered constructions reinterpret outerwear from a feminine perspective, while the contrast between black and white creates a poetic tension between light and shadow.

Reparto also stood out, continuing to champion fashion as a form of visual entertainment with an SS26 collection entirely inspired by cinematic language. With Clasificación: R, the brand turns fear into a narrative thread, exploring the most intimate insecurities and existential fragilities as fundamental parts of identity. Inspired by 17th-century vanitas and the adolescent aesthetics of its founders, the collection reflects the duality between life and death, desire and emptiness, beauty and decay.

Overall, 080 Barcelona Fashion reaffirmed its commitment to supporting new talent by offering them a space to express themselves and engage in dialogue through fashion. It remains a platform that promotes emerging creativity as a collective force and continues, season after season, to serve as a true meeting point.

Alongside the main programme, there were several new additions such as the Open Area, which hosted workshops, talks and DJ sets. These daily encounters, organised in collaboration with the Spain Gallery, gave many local brands the opportunity to gain greater visibility, while the social moments accompanied by music became essential for building community and connection.

One of the founding principles of the event has always been to give space to new talents, allowing them to express their own personality freely. Sustainability, talent and creativity were at the heart of this edition, which drew over eleven thousand attendees, gained wide visibility across social platforms and attracted new audiences. 080 Barcelona Fashion was not just another fashion week but an event capable of connecting the worlds of fashion and people, while raising awareness of what is still missing in the creative industry, and the city of Barcelona can only reap the rewards of this powerful week.
