
Aries and Crocs surf in urban nature with a new collab The Cassic Clog explores the undergrowth of cities
Two years after their first collaboration, London-based brand Aries and American footwear company Crocs return with a new project. This time, the Classic Clog has been reimagined through muted and naturalistic camouflage colors, in the shades of High Shine Black and Dark Algae Green. The real highlight of the collaboration is the Jibbitz™, the charms that fit into the holes in the center of the shoe, taking the form of everything one might find in the undergrowth of an urban landscape, such as fallen leaves, coins, magic mushrooms, balloons, and other discoveries that can be found in every corner of London. The strong bond between Aries and the British capital is the main source of inspiration for the collaboration with Crocs, which chose to celebrate this deep sense of belonging of the street style brand by capturing the most unique aspects of London life.
The new Aries x Crocs collab retains the same style and functionality of the original Classic Clog, adding to the renowned design an adjustable and removable strap, as well as the Temple logo of Aries embossed on the shoe. The campaign, shot by British photographer Kuba Ryniewicz, uses London’s urban-naturalistic landscapes as the perfect backdrop for the new Aries-designed Crocs. Ryniewicz and Julian Ganio, stylist and creative director of the images accompanying the new launch, explained that the campaign tells the story of a nature-inspired journey reimagined in the city, where one can collect precious urban debris. In short, the perfect clog for those who love wandering the city center in search of themselves and new treasures to discover.
