Salehe Bembury is finally putting the Tree Camo Crocs on sale to the public

Salehe Bembury is finally putting the Tree Camo Crocs on sale to the public The creative changed his mind after three years

When designer and creative Salehe Bembury created the Crocs Pollex Clog in the Tree Camo pattern, he said he would never put them up for sale. It was an exclusive «friends and family only» release—a model of the Pollex with an organic shape, far more functional than classic Crocs, covered in a camouflage pattern. «The Crocs Pollex Clog is an exploration of form and function. The Crocs Pollex is composed of 3 of his signature fingerprints merged together, with dramatic concave ridges allowing for multi-directional traction. Holes found on the upper of the Crocs Pollex are designed to align with the high-heat areas of the foot for increased breathability,» states the description of the shoe. Available from early June, the Clogs designed by Bembury and the anticipation they've generated since their initial release show how Crocs have established themselves in the street style scene in recent years, thanks to the pandemic but also the quirky shape of what could now be called rubber sneakers.

Salehe Bembury has worked on footwear for some of the world's most renowned brands including Versace, New Balance, and as of 2024, also Puma. Despite all of the designer’s collaborations generating major buzz among sneakerheads and his community, the partnership with Crocs continues to be the most appreciated project of Bembury’s career. A year ago, the designer introduced the first Crocs sneakers, the Juniper, a line that includes various colors and also a Tree Camo version. It looks to be a busy summer for Bembury: after the drop of the Crocs Pollex Clog Tree Camo, scheduled for June 5 on the designer's Be a Spunge website, the time is approaching to reveal to the public the design he created for Puma shoes made for basketball player Tyrese Haliburton.
