Guess USA, the American division of Guess that is dedicated to collaborations and production of premium products, has become since the 80s one of the pillars of contemporary American aesthetics – aesthetics that the brand wanted to celebrate by starting a collaboration with Eli Russell Linnetz, one-man-show of contemporary American fashion who founded and directs the ERL brand,  recently seen on A$AP Rocky at the Met Gala, but he is also a photographer and actor. He will take care of the image and rebranding of a collection designed by Nicolai Marciano, son of Paul Marciano who is the co-founder and creative director of Guess. The new collection will revisit a series of prototypes never developed by Guess USA during the 80s and 90s and will give them new life inspired by the American iconographies of the brand's first campaigns.

The connection between Guess USA and Linnetz is important because, in its first twenty years of life, the brand's campaigns have explored American iconography through the idea of pin-ups and launching the careers of many top models such as Claudia Schiffer but above all communicating more an idea of lifestyle than showing real clothes. The style that Linnetz will infuse to the campaign, as well as the one that Marciano Jr. will infuse to the collection distributed exclusively by Slam Jam, will imitate the vintage and sensual tone for which the photographer / designer has become famous.
