The immortal heritage of the PUMA Suede A historic sneaker ready to return in a new version
What makes a sneaker immortal? Without a doubt the story, that in the case of the PUMA Suede goes from the 1968 Olympics to the plays of Walt “Clyde” Frazier on the basketball courts in the 70s, telling the success of a silhouette designed to be revolutionary. Born as an alternative to the PUMA Basket, the Suede managed to impose themselves thanks to their unique style capable of adapting to all situations and needs.

From Tommie Smith to the streets of New York, the PUMA Suede has become the symbol of the birth and consecration of breakdance in the 70s. A success possible thanks to their simple and clean silhouette, chosen by the NYC Breakers and the Rock Steady Crew as the sneaker of two of the most famous crews of all time. Years pass, and after Rihanna and Karl Lagerfeld, the PUMA Suede wears two generations of Italian rap in the new campaign launched by the brand on the occasion of the relaunch of the sneaker more than fifty years after its debut in 1968. Gue Pequeno, one of the most iconic names of the Italian rap scene, and Paky, one of the talents of the new generation of Italian rappers, are the two protagonists of the campaign for the release of the new PUMA Suede Classic XXI, ready to return with a series of new releases to celebrate and relaunch this great classic.

The Suede Classic XXI returns in a selection of colors with a full suede upper, the iconic PUMA Formstrip in contrasting color on the side and the fabric label with the PUMA logo on the tongue. The PUMA Suede Classic XXI is available online at PUMA.com, in PUMA Stores, at AWLAB and in select retailers.
