IED Milano recently inaugurated the university's new headquarters in Via Piranesi in Milan entirely dedicated to the Postgraduate segment, that is to say to the highest level of training courses of the European Institute of Design. The IED Milano Postgraduate Area, based today in via Piranesi 10, welcomes about 250 students from 35 different nationalities every year, offering a total of 13 Master courses. Located next to the iconic Palazzo del Ghiaccio, the new IED headquarters in Via Piranesi 10 is a space of 3,000 square meters from the entirely glazed outer perimeter – a feature that wants to evoke the idea of dialogue and openness to the outside.

Continuity and transparency also characterize the internal layout - created to a project by Fabrizio Bertero and Simona Marzoli of Berteroprojects. The furnishings have been designed ad hoc by Bertero and Marzoli with the architect Giorgio Grandi, with working islands consisting of tables and cork boards that facilitate the fixation, even visually, of ideas. In the structure there are also colorful and informal accents dedicated to the rest and reception areas, with a part of furnishings from the M'Afrique collection signed by Moroso.
