Apple has launched an ultra-thin iPhone It is called iPhone Air and weighs 165 grams

Last night, at its California headquarters in Cupertino, Apple presented its seasonal innovations, an event that every year since the company’s very first launches attracts the attention of technology experts, enthusiasts, and brand fans from all over the world. Aside from the new iPhone 17 and the new Apple Watch, the spotlight this time is on the iPhone Air. The device is incredibly thin and light, made of grade 5 titanium with only 5.6 mm thickness and an almost weightless feel. Available in four colors (space black, cloud white, light gold, and sky blue), it’s set to break the rules of commercial design.

Is the new iPhone Air durable?

The strength of the new iPhone lies in its ability to blend aesthetics and engineering. Although extremely thin, the device is very durable: the front panel is protected by the new Ceramic Shield 2, three times more scratch-resistant, while for the first time the back also adopts the same material, ensuring impact resistance never seen before on an iPhone. The display reaches 3,000 nits of brightness, an absolute record for the American company. The result is a screen that appears suspended, hypnotic, and flawless even under direct sunlight. The design is enhanced by the Action button and the new Camera Control, shortcuts designed to make access to the most-used features immediate.

AI and photography

As in iPhone 17, generative artificial intelligence models have been integrated directly into iPhone Air, while further improvements have been made on the photography front. The main camera offers the equivalent of four lenses, with improved color performance even in low light conditions. In addition, the front camera features the first square sensor ever seen on an iPhone, making it easy to take group selfies, and an auto-adjustment feature to always frame your face during video calls. Finally, with Dual Capture, you can record simultaneously with the front and rear cameras, opening new narrative possibilities for content creators.

iPhone Air will launch with iOS 26, which introduces Apple Intelligence, the on-device artificial intelligence system designed to make the experience more intuitive. Real-time translation (also available on the brand’s new AirPods), visual intelligence tools that turn screenshots into instant searches, and new functions for filtering messages and calls are just some of the updates.

The new Apple accessories for the iPhone

Alongside the device, Apple is introducing a line of accessories that enhance its aesthetics and functionality: from the semi-transparent case to the colored bumper, and the adjustable strap made of recycled yarns available in ten color variants. There’s also the new battery, which extends battery life up to 40 hours of video playback.
