Stone Island launches the new FW25 campaign The new chapter of the ‘COMMUNITY AS A FORM OF RESEARCH’ project features Alessandro Borghi

Stone Island returns to exploring the connection between fashion and belonging with the new chapter of COMMUNITY AS A FORM OF RESEARCH, a project that accompanies the presentation of the FW25 collection. The initiative stands as a manifesto of the brand’s identity: an ongoing dialogue with an international community, multifaceted and constantly evolving, capable of embodying the experimental soul of the label. The campaign, faithful to the essential aesthetic that has always defined Stone Island, places its protagonists at the center: faces with different stories and backgrounds, united by the ability to reinterpret the most iconic pieces through their own personal imagination.

Opening the narrative are NBA champion and entrepreneur Carmelo Anthony and actor Don Johnson, figures that move across seemingly distant worlds yet converge within the same stylistic vision. Alongside them, a diverse lineup amplifies the concept of a global community: actor Alessandro Borghi, creative Chokkan, musician Chy Cartier, and world champion boxer Oleksandr Usyk. The season is further enriched by contributions from Earl Sweatshirt, writer Bret Easton Ellis, singer-songwriter and producer Charlotte Day Wilson, designer Clint 419, musician Isaac Hale, and Nasser Ssekandi, client advisor manager of Stone Island.

Behind the lens is David Sims, with styling by Max Pearmain and creative direction from Ferdinando Verderi. Set against a classic white background, which has always served as a neutral and recognizable frame, the portraits highlight both the intensity of the characters and the technical research of the garments. Further intertwining images and stories are the questions posed by Hans Ulrich Obrist, artistic director of the Serpentine Gallery, adding a unique layer of reflection to the visual narrative. With this campaign, Stone Island reaffirms its idea of fashion as common ground, where research is not only material but also human: a space where fabric innovation meets the plurality of voices that wear it.
