Stone Island inaugurates its next chapter by unveiling the manifesto The Compass Inside (The Star Within Us) along with the new campaign featuring members of its own community, portrayed in emblematic pieces from the SS24 collection. The Compass Inside is a statement of the intrinsic values and beliefs of Stone Island, a brand founded in 1982 with a strong commitment to placing research and innovation of materials at the core of product and collection development. The Compass Inside addresses all members of the brand's expanding global community, defined by the shared spirit that gives Stone Island its unique strength. Concurrently with the manifesto release, Stone Island launches a new campaign conceived as a form of exploration, showcasing for the first time 16 members of the global brand community, including actor Jason Statham, producer and musician Dave, choreographer Wayne McGregor, tennis player Henry Searle, musician Tricky, and architect Heidulf Gerngross.

Photographed by David Sims against Stone Island's iconic white backdrop, with creative direction by Ferdinando Verderi and styling by Max Pearmain, the subjects are captured in the SS24 collection. Ten questions, specifically tailored for each subject by curator and cultural critic Hans Ulrich Obrist, artistic director of the Serpentine Gallery in London, enrich the narrative, with the answers appearing alongside the portraits. Robert Triefus, Stone Island's CEO, commented: «Our vision for Stone Island is expressed in The Compass Inside, which tangibly establishes our core values. Constant innovation, confidence in our capabilities, solidarity, and an obsession with materials form the cardinal points of our compass. We design for the real world, and that's why our new creative narrative features prominent figures from the global Stone Island family.»

For the SS24 campaign, industry merges with nature. Organic meets artificial. Functionality guides aesthetics. Solutions drive design innovation. Lightweight fabrics are metallized or dyed with natural colors. Extensive research has led to the STONE ISLAND CLOSED LOOP PROJECT. Strong individual identity is enhanced by the compactness of GHOST, the boldness of MARINA, and the performance of STELLINA, key pieces and sub-collections of Stone Island.

The Stone Island community gathers in Milan on January 12, 2024, the opening day of Men's Fashion Week, to celebrate the manifesto and the new campaign and to witness a monumental presentation featuring Stone Island pieces from the FW24 and FW25 collections.
