Here’s what went down at the KIWI Vapor urban cleaning workshop The ‘Green like a KIWI’ project is now gearing up for its Tuscan leg
On Friday, March 27, Green like a KIWI, the environmental sustainability project by KIWI Vapor, cleaned the Certosa neighborhood in Milan, combining city care and creativity. Over forty volunteers, including citizens, creators, and members of the KIWI community, took part in an intense day. More than 100 kg of waste were collected and properly disposed of, with particular attention to plastics and abandoned materials. Each kilogram collected was certified and tracked by Piantando, a Benefit and B Corp company partnering in the initiative, ensuring full transparency on the environmental impact generated.
The day was not just about cleaning: the artist Giulio Rosk created a mural during the event as a tangible symbol of urban regeneration and active community participation. «Milan responded with energy and willingness to act,» said Marco Giampaolo, Media & Communication Manager of KIWI Vapor. «Seeing so many people united to take care of a shared space shows that sustainability is a concrete and collective action.»
The Green like a KIWI project doesn’t stop here: this year, KIWI Vapor’s initiative embarks on a European tour that will visit other Italian and European cities, always in collaboration with local associations and communities. The next opportunity in Italy will be in Tuscany, another chance to actively participate in caring for urban spaces and leaving a positive mark on the territory.
