IUTER and Espolòn Tequila sign collaboration agreement LOS CALLEJEROS A creative bridge between Milan and Jalisco
In an era where collaborations between fashion brands and spirits are becoming increasingly bold, IUTER has forged an unprecedented alliance with Espolòn Tequila, the Mexican emblem of tradition and resilience. The result is LOS CALLEJEROS, a limited-edition capsule collection that weaves the energy of Lombard streets with the proud spirit of the lands of Jalisco. This partnership is not just a stylistic exercise, but a shared homage to street life as an arena of self-affirmation, where outsiders, the "callejeros" or square wanderers, become protagonists of a rebellious narrative.
IUTER, born in the heart of Milan as the voice of Italian urban subculture, has always celebrated the aesthetics of everyday rebellion: versatile garments influenced by graffiti, skateboarding, and sleepless nights in peripheral neighborhoods. Espolòn, on the other hand, represents the distillate of Mexican cultural heritage, where every sip evokes the struggle for identity and freedom. By uniting these two souls, LOS CALLEJEROS emerges as a manifesto against standardization, valuing individual independence, the tenacity of the non-conformists, and the aesthetic appeal of the imperfect.
The LOS CALLEJEROS line consists of pieces that blend robust denim with evocative prints, creating a wardrobe that moves fluidly between Milanese asphalt and the dusty squares of Guadalajara. At the center is a denim suit consisting of a jacket and trousers decorated with the Gallo Ramon logo, which is the official symbol of Espolòn tequila, and made with raw fabrics and irregular washes that evoke the natural wear of urban adventures. The jacket, with its oversize fit and multi-functional pockets, recalls the silhouettes of Mexican murals, while the pants, with a slim-tapered cut, incorporate details like contrasting seams inspired by traditional Jalisco patterns.
Completing the collection is a heavy cotton sweater with a central motif that combines Espolòn's iconic rooster with abstract graphics inspired by Milanese street art. The two T-shirt designs feature screen-printed graphics. Each item is imbued with a raw aesthetic featuring colors such as denim blue, terracotta prints, and charcoal black, while cultural references range from Mexican icons such as the warrior to the rooster.
The debut on the Italian market will be marked by three exclusive events, designed to immerse the community in an immersive atmosphere. In Milan, at a former industrial space converted into a creative hub, the inaugural event will feature fusion DJ sets blending techno rhythms and revisited mariachi, with Espolòn tastings to toast the collection. Bari will host the second gathering in a historic port, while Naples will close the tour with an event in the square, featuring live performances by street dancers and mural artists who will create works inspired by the line's themes. These events will also offer workshops on garment customization and talks on how underground culture unites continents.
