What is Fuorimoda? Everything you need to know about the new launch of nss magazine for Milan Fashion Week SS 26
On the occasion of the upcoming Milan Fashion Week, nss magazine launches Fuorimoda, an event designed to overturn the exclusive logic of the year’s most glamorous week and finally make it accessible to everyone. From September 23 and throughout the entire MFW, nss edicola in Piazza Bruno Buozzi will once again become the meeting point for the nss community, with a program that blends entertainment, debate, and participation.
Since the launch of Beyond Fashion in 2023, nss has been telling new stories and analyzing socio-cultural phenomena in the contemporary fashion landscape, supporting independent and emerging brands, challenging the dogmas of the system, and fostering true innovation. With Fuorimoda, the Beyond Fashion journey continues—this time rejecting the exclusive and “out-of-fashion” structure of Fashion Week and turning it into an event open to all. The square becomes a space for exchange, Milan leaves behind snobbery and arrogance, and begins to listen to the new generations.
The Fuorimoda Calendar
All Fuorimoda events will take place at nss edicola starting Tuesday, September 23, with the launch party: from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., with music by Slim Soledad and Chico Blanco, the new nss edicola collection will be unveiled alongside the launch of the digital platform Fuorimoda Reviews.
Tuesday 23, Thursday 25, Friday 26, and Saturday 27 will feature the Fuorimoda Live Review, events where the community can gather to review some of the main fashion shows of Milan Fashion Week together, including (in order) Diesel, Prada, The Attico, and the highly anticipated debut of Louise Trotter for Bottega Veneta. Joining fashion fans will be some of the leading Italian fashion creators as hosts and debate moderators, including Simone Furlan, Hydra, Giulia Torelli, and Claudia Potycki.
The program doesn’t end there: throughout the week, there will also be Fuorimoda Meets, gatherings where some of the leading creative directors of the Milanese calendar – including Francesco Murano, Giuseppe Di Morabito, Marco Rambaldi, and many more –will meet in Piazza Bruno Buozzi to present their new collections and answer questions from fans.
How does Fuorimoda Reviews work?
Fuorimoda Reviews is the first digital space to freely review all seasonal fashion shows, share your take on the latest collections, and see how others have rated them. An interactive experience that breaks down barriers to the fashion system and restores Fashion Week to its public dimension.
Through the platform, users can rate and comment on shows with a score from 0 to 5. The chosen symbol is a banana: peeled, it signals a slip-up, while whole, it represents a work of art. On the site, users can create a personal profile to save their favorite brands, keep track of all the shows, revisit their own reviews, and exchange opinions with the community.
The site’s homepage also includes a seasonal show calendar to keep track of every event of fashion month. During shows, users can comment on collections in real time through two buttons: the peeled banana (for negative reactions) or the whole banana (for positive ones). Each brand has its own dedicated section where you can see the average community rating.
