Gucci will collaborate with XBox? With a trunk only available in 100 pieces

UPDATE 12.11.21: After the leaks of the past few days, Gucci and Xbox have raised the curtain on their unusual collaboration. As already seen from the first photos appeared online, the protagonist of this strange union will be one of the iconic Gucci trunks, transformed in this case into a console holder inside which there is space for an XBox customized with the brand's monogram. Available from November 17, the Gucci x Xbox collabo will only have 100 pieces.

To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of its launch, dated 15 November, XBox could launch a collaboration with Gucci, tightening the link between the world of fashion and video games in 2001. The first clues about the collaboration came from Twitter, where the Microsoft console account recently tweeted "Saying GG at the end of every game will never go out of style", and the Gucci's account replied: "We couldn't agree more", a pun on Gucci's iconic monogram logo and the expression 'good game'.

Also through Twitter, it leaked what seems to be the actual product of the collaboration, through the @Nadeshot account, a bag with a monogram motif and the Gucci and Xbox logos engraved together on the leather label. In June of this year, Sony had already collaborated with a luxury brand on the occasion of the launch of the special Balenciaga Ps5 t-shirt, while over the years Gucci has repeatedly crossed over into the reality of videogames with various collaborations such as that with Tennis Clash or The Sims.

The world of gaming and high fashion, through the drop of assets, skins and physical products, contracted collaborations with the aim of rendering fashion one of the main sources of consumption of the Metaverse that will come, especially after Zuckerberg's presentation of the new Meta.
