10 Things to Do in Milan During Fuorisalone 2026 The best of fashion, lifestyle, and design

Together with spring, the Salone del Mobile has arrived in Milan, and with it, the Fuorisalone. For an entire week the city will become a great moving celebration, with every street and every neighborhood opening its doors to thousands of initiatives. Among the best, in addition to those more focused on actual interior design, there are also the more transversal ones: activations signed by luxury brands, big names from fashion and also from nss edicola which, for this Fuorisalone, will present its first free press project Edicola Italiana.

And to guide the readers through the main events and places-to-go in the city, here we have listed the ten best things to do in Milan during Fuorisalone 2026. And where will you go?

1. Veuve Clicquot - Chasing the Sun

Veuve Clicquot will be one of the brightest protagonists of Fuorisalone 2026 with the immersive installation Chasing the Sun, signed by the British artist Yinka Ilori, known as “Architect of Joy”. Hosted in the heart of the Brera Design District at the Mediateca Santa Teresa in via della Moscova 28, the work will celebrate the concept of joy and optimism through a multisensory journey characterized by vibrant colors, bold graphic patterns and sculptural forms.

Visitors will be able to fully immerse themselves in the Maison’s solar universe, experiencing a journey that combines contemporary art, design and lifestyle. The activation will be completed with the Clicquot Café, open all day with a dedicated menu and pairings of the iconic cuvées, and with the Clicquot Boutique that will exclusively host the collection of accessories and merchandising co-created with Ilori, making the experience accessible and memorable throughout the Design Week from April 20th to 26th.

2. Fendi - Baguette 26424 Re-Edition

Fendi will present this week the new Fendi Baguette 26424 Re-Edition created by Maria Grazia Chiuri. The project, presented at Palazzo Fendi, will revolve around a special packaging: a wooden box inspired by traditional art crates, which will become the centerpiece of an immersive scenographic installation.

Through a movement system, numerous suspended crates will tell the iconic journey of the Baguette, accompanied by a suggestive video installation that will reproduce the artisanal precision and unique rhythm of the Fendi atelier. The setup will transform the space into a poetic and contemporary tale, celebrating the heritage of the Roman Maison and its ability to reinterpret its classics in a modern key.

3. Gucci - Gucci Memoria

Gucci, now under the creative direction of Demna, will land at Fuorisalone 2026 with the major exhibition Gucci Memoria, hosted at the Chiostri di San Simpliciano from April 21st to 26th. It will be an immersive and monumental exhibition that will retrace 105 years of the brand’s history through symbolic installations, archive reinterpretations, iconic pieces and cultural moments that have defined Gucci’s identity. Open to the public by reservation on Gucci's website, the exhibition will represent Demna’s first major curatorial narrative for the House, transforming the Fuorisalone into a choral experience between fashion, collective memory and contemporary culture.

4. Ploom - A Study of Milan and its AURA

Connecting the young community, new creatives and immersive design, Ploom and nss magazine will present A Study of Milan and its AURA, an ambitious collaborative research project that will explore the contemporary aesthetics of the city through an experiential and multisensory journey. Aligned with the official theme of Fuorisalone 2026 “Be The Project”, the project will interpret design as an open and constantly evolving process.

Milan will be read as a living organism, built daily through gestures, habits and cultural dynamics. The project will be structured in four thematic chapters — Light, Flavour, Creation and Form — which will translate Ploom’s design principles into immersive experiences including installations, workshops, talks and moments of aggregation.

5. Tod’s ICONS by ICONS

Tod’s will celebrate its iconic Gommino at Fuorisalone 2026 with the ICONS by ICONS project, an exhibition-event dedicated to the Masters of Italian Design. From April 22nd to 26th, in the spaces of Via Savona 56 in Milan, the brand will pay homage to Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Joe Colombo, Michele De Lucchi (with Memphis Milano) and Gaetano Pesce. Through a suggestive installation that will reinterpret the famous rubber sole, Tod’s will create a living dialogue between Italian heritage, highest-level craftsmanship and contemporary design, transforming the Gommino into a cultural symbol that unites fashion and furniture.

6. IKEA Food For Thought

IKEA will be present this year with the exhibition Food For Thought, hosted from April 21st to 26th at Spazio Maiocchi in the Porta Venezia district. The project will transform the space into a large Swedish covered market, combining democratic design, conviviality and food as tools of cultural connection. The participatory installation will include previews of the new IKEA PS 2026 collection, pieces signed by Raffaella Mangiarotti and two new lamps, celebrating food as a true design device for creating bonds between people, cultures and daily rituals.

7. Portanuova - Blooming Imperfection – Relationships in Progress

Portanuova, the first neighborhood in the world with dual LEED® and WELL® for Community certification, will return as a protagonist of Fuorisalone 2026 with Blooming Imperfection – Relationships in Progress. Edicola Italiana will transform the nss edicola in Piazza Bruno Buozzi into a temporary urban exhibition space from April 19th to 26th. The Milanese kiosk of nss edicola and the surrounding area will become a dynamic and interactive installation that will tell the evolution of Italian newsstands while inside a container there will be an exclusive exhibit powered by Xiaomi about newsstands by night. The project will inaugurate the Design Week with an evening event on Sunday, April 19th starting at 7pm, open to the public, with a DJ set conceived as an occasion for meeting and cultural resistance.

Prada will bring to Milan this year the fifth edition of Prada Frames, titled IN SIGHT, from April 19th to 21st in the historic spaces of Santa Maria delle Grazie which can be accessed by registering on Prada's website. The program, composed of conversations, installations and talks with some of the most important contemporary thinkers, will explore the boundaries between design, philosophy, science and society.
