From 20 to 26 April, what is perhaps one of the most eagerly awaited annual events in the city and the world of design returns to Milan, the Salone del Mobile, now in its 64th edition, together with the Fuorisalone. Creatives, companies and universities will once again transform Milan into a vast open-air museum for a whole week. The focus of the 2026 edition is on the relationship between artisanal mastery and innovation, with a strong emphasis on creative responsibility and the future of design. The theme chosen by Fuorisalone, “Be the Project”, is an invitation to consider design as a dynamic, imperfect and responsible process, putting human beings back at the centre as the driving force of change. The many districts of the city, from Brera to Tortona, passing through Isola, Porta Venezia, 5 Vie and Porta Romana, are working hard to organize exhibitions, talks, installations, events, dinners and shows, most of which will be open to the public without restrictions.
This is why nss magazine has created an interactive map of Design Week 2026, highlighting the most interesting events, must-see exhibitions and activations, as well as the best places to relax, listen to music and have a drink when you need a break from walking.
