El Porteño celebrates 15 years of excellence, innovation, and Argentine culture A charity dinner was held for the occasion to raise funds for oncologists.

A symbol of the beginning of an extraordinary entrepreneurial evolution, El Porteño is Dorrego Company’s first historic venue in Milan and the flagship of a unique journey within the dining scene. Fifteen years after its opening, this milestone becomes an opportunity to celebrate not only a successful story, but also a vision that continues to look toward the future, turning every experience into a symbol of ongoing innovation.

Authenticity, passion and culture are the values that have always defined El Porteño’s identity and driven its success. From the very beginning, the project has combined the warm, carefully curated atmosphere of its spaces with a gastronomic offering rich in history, deeply connected to the Argentine soul and to the excellence of raw ingredients. A sensory journey that, day after day, has made the brand recognizable and distinctive.

To celebrate its 15th anniversary, a special evening was organized at the historic venue on viale Gian Galeazzo 25, conceived to allow guests to experience firsthand the depth, dedication and care that define the brand. The choice fell on a charity dinner in collaboration with the Paola Marella Foundation, centered on authenticity, excellence and the creation of shared value. The proceeds were donated to a professional development program for oncologists involved in the treatment of pancreatic cancer at San Raffaele Hospital.

«We have always wanted to create places capable of leaving an indelible experience in people’s memories», explains Fabio Acampora. «Celebrating the history of El Porteño through a charity dinner was the most authentic way to highlight what matters most to us: people». During the evening, a charity auction featuring objects that once belonged to Paola Marella made it possible to provide an additional contribution to the project, combining solidarity, memory and concrete commitment. «The true strength of El Porteño lies in its ability to welcome guests and make them feel part of something unique», concludes Alejandro Bernardez. An anniversary that is not only a celebration of the past, but a confirmation of a vision that continues to grow, in the name of taste, culture and shared responsibility.

From an initial idea to a structured and constantly growing reality, Dorrego Company has created over 200 jobs, brought more than 150 recipes to the table, and opened new venues even during challenging times such as the pandemic, with the openings of Prohibido and Gourmet in Milan and Teatro Valle in Rome. A virtuous path also recognized at an institutional level, with the appointment in 2022 of Alejandro and Sebastián Bernardez as “Ambassadors of the Country” by Marca País Argentina, and of Fabio Acampora as “Friend of Argentina” for the promotion of Argentine culture in Italy.

At the heart of everything remains the mission of the three founders, Fabio Acampora and Argentine brothers Alejandro and Sebastián Bernardez: making guests feel good by caring for every detail of the experience, from aesthetically original settings to continuous gastronomic research. «With El Porteño we brought the originality of Argentine cuisine and spirit to Italy, blending passion and innovation», says Sebastián Bernardez, explaining how each format is conceived as a true gastronomic journey.
