What do you think about the gorpcor trend and how do you relate to it? How do you live the outdoor in the city and why do you think is important?

I don’t really see gorpcore as a trend, I believe its more of a lifestyle option at this point. Living in the UK with fluctuating weather patterns, you need to have garments that can quickly adapt to the climate. Im often riding my bike around the city and its essential to have a jacket that can keep me dry whilst also providing good thermo regulation which is why I picked the Mobility Packable Jacket. Its lightweight, breathable and also packable which means I can easily carry it around incase the weather is looking unpredictable that day. Its functional and well designed products like these that I feel are leading the future directional of the gorpcore wave

Why did you choose this location and what is your connection to this place?

Being located in Hackney, East London Im lucky that there are plenty of green spaces around the borough. I often go running out at some of the bigger parks like Victoria park and Hackney Downes, but sometimes it’s nice to go to some of the lesser known spaces like Springfield Park which is a quiet spot located along the canal. As its less frequented, its a bit of an urban Oasis as the grounds are really well kept. There’s also some really good hills there for training too.

What do you think of Goldwin’s SS22 collection and which garments you choose from the collection? How do you see a brand as goldwin that stays across outdoor and daily lifestyle?

This is the second time I’ve worked with Goldwin on a shoot and Im always really impressed with the level of care in the products and designs they offer. Given that some of the more well known brands in outdoor style have become more saturated in the market, its nice to have an option that people don’t recognise as much. There’s lots of great details to talk about on the Mobility Packable Jacket I chose like the packability mentioned earlier as well as the fact its made from recycled materials and natural dyes. This one is dyed from onions which achieves a really unique earthy yellow hue. I really love the hand of the fabric too as its technical but feels like cotton which is ideal if you’re wearing it just with a t-shirt underneath. Some technical fabrics can feel cold against your skin but this feels soft. I also chose the Wool Easy Straight Pants, which are a crisp, smart looking pant but with practical details like secure pockets that make it ideal for commuting on my bike Pants made of wool blend fabric that offers luxurious texture and crisp line with warp rib, which works great for business or smart casual styles.
